Jacob Enfield is an Associate Professor of Research in the Computer Game Design department of George Mason University. Jacob earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology department at Indiana University, his M.S. in Educational Technology at CSU Fullerton, and his B.S. in Secondary Education at Kansas State University. His research focuses on game-based learning and effective educational game design.
Jacob has been an educator since 2000. He has taught mathematics and computer science at the middle school and high school level. At the community college and university level, Jacob has taught courses ranging from technology courses for pre-service teachers, to Flash and PHP courses, to instructional game design and development courses, to media production courses (e.g. digital art, web development, 2D animation, web-based game development, and virtual reality production). Currently, Jacob is teaching undergraduate game design and game programming courses.
