Dr. Enfield is an Associate Professor in the Cinema and Television Arts department of California State University Northridge. Jacob earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology department at Indiana University, his M.S. in Educational Technology at CSU Fullerton, and his B.S. in Secondary Education at Kansas State University. His research focuses on game-based learning and effective educational game design.
Jacob has been an educator since 2000. He has taught mathematics and computer science both at the middle school and high school level. During his doctoral program, Jacob taught courses at the community college and university level ranging from technology courses for pre-service teachers, to Flash and PHP courses, to instructional game design and development courses. Since 2012, Jacob has been teaching undergraduate media production courses (e.g. digital art, web development, 2D animation, web-based game development, and virtual reality production).
